About the Project
A 1914 Russian Hill flat, built as the city rose again after the fire. It sits a block off Polk Street, close enough to hear the city and far enough to shut the door on it. It needed more room and less noise, so the empty attic became a bedroom and the rest got a good edit.
Pale walls, light from the bay windows, and a few strong pieces doing the work: a tufted leather ottoman, a deep cream sofa, reclaimed wood on blackened steel. And green everywhere.

…sitting pretty with her house in the city
At the heart of the home is a fully custom dining solution for a family where form doesn’t always follow function. Muted pastels on the walls, with hints of nickel and patinated brass, keep the scene refined and make it a comfortable place to linger.
Negative space is a design decision, too.
